This is an S-curve made out of the same material. The bit on the top looks orange because it’s facing the setting sun; the bit on the bottom is blue because it’s in shadow.

Back cover of the bible

The cover of my great-great-grandmother Blackamore’s family bible. It’s made of leather and is at least 1 inch thick at its thickest. The whole thing is HUGE and completely falling apart.

The cover of a scripture and “reminder” book that belonged to my great-great grandmother Sweazy. The binding is falling apart and I’m afraid to flip through the pages too much. It doesn’t look like she wrote a whole lot in it anyway.
