Taking on a Lake-Eating Monster in East Texas

This NYTimes article came across my rss feed. Dad and I once took a road trip to Uncertain, Texas because I’d seen some photos of Caddo Lake – with its cypress tress growing right up out of the water – and wanted to see something like that in person. We had some of the best catfish I’ve ever had at a place in Uncertain. But mostly, it was the wonderful lake that made the long drive worthwhile. The world would definitely be a sadder place if such beauty were to disappear.
