News Boycott Ends
1 April, 2003
Okay, so my news boycott was doomed from the start. What can I say, I’m weak. This story kind of goes against the prevailing pre-war mind-set of the administration (basically that “Joe Blow Iraqi citizen will be happy to see us and welcome us with open arms”).
They know it could be dangerous, but these Iraqis are desperate to get home — to help their families and their country.
Read about that and links to more compelling stories at Talking Points Memo – a very well-written and insightful blog.
